Genetic code computer
A simple device to determine the amino acid corresponding to a particular mRNA codon
Three wheels are dialed to give a codon and the coresponding amino acid appears in a window. This is a novel alternative to genetic code tables.

A colour printer; card; a hole punch.
Context where originally used
Used with 16–19 year-old students in Luxembourg.
The card needs to be cut into discs. This can be done with scissors or using a special cutting device designed specfically for the purpose. A description and pictures of this device are included.
